• Why I’ll Keep Pedaling Every Year
    30 Sep 2026

The Last Day…But Not My Last Miles 🚴‍♀️……

Today is the final day of the 2026 Great Cycle Challenge. Together, riders have pedaled 1,542,946 miles and raised an incredible $6,625,719 to fight childhood cancer. ❤️

I haven’t ridden much this past week because I’ve been under the weather. I fully intended to complete my 300 miles in September, but that isn’t going to happen. I do fully intend to finish every mile—it just won’t be within September. I feel guilty for not writing because it certainly insignificant to what these kids go through.

One of those kiddos is Kylie, a GCC ambassador who passed away August 15 after a courageous battle with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.

Her family remembers Kylie as a girl full of joy who loved deeply, laughed often, celebrated others and fully embraced life. ❤️

Her parents shared how much Kylie loved being part of the GCC community. She loved seeing the rides, celebrating milestones and cheering everyone on as money was raised for better and safer treatments for children with cancer. It meant so much to her to know that people all across the country were riding with kids like her in mind.

This is why we ride and raise funds. For better and safer treatments, and for the hope that more children will have the opportunity to grow up, chase their dreams and simply be kids.

September ends today, but my ride doesn’t.

I’ll finish those miles. For Kylie and all the kiddos. ❤️🚴‍♀️

We’ve got 10 days left to keep pedaling, keep raising and BRING IT HOME STRONG! 🚴‍♀️💪❤️

Over its 11-year history, the Great Cycle Challenge USA community has raised a cumulative total of over $79 million for the Children's Cancer Research Fund.

  • ❤️ 15,000 Reasons to Keep Pedaling
    12 Sep 2026

Every year, more than 15,000 children in the United States are diagnosed with cancer. ❤️

Kids should be learning at school, riding bikes, playing ball, celebrating birthdays, laughing with their friends and simply being kids—not spending their childhood in hospital rooms fighting cancer.

We’ve come a long way, but there is still so much work to do. More research means better, safer treatments and more children getting the chance to grow up and live long, healthy lives.

    That’s the future we’re riding for. ❤️🚴‍♀️

  • This Is Why We Ride ❤️ — Meet 3-Year-Old Kai
    11 Sep 2026

I wanted to share a little update from the Great Cycle Challenge about one of the kiddos we’re riding for. ❤️

Meet Kai. He is just 3 years old and has been fighting neuroblastoma since December 2025.

Last week, this brave little guy underwent his second bone marrow transplant. His care team is still determining what comes next, which may include radiation. The encouraging news is that his scans showed his cancer is mostly gone, although there are still some questionable spots behind his eyes that doctors are watching.

And through all of this…look at that smile.

This little guy is just one of the many reasons we keep pedaling.

Behind all those miles and fundraising numbers are the kids and the families going through something they should ever have to face.

    Kids like Kai. ❤️

    This is why we ride.

This is why we keep going. 🚴‍♀️

Let’s keep fighting for Kai and ALL the kiddos battling childhood cancer. 💪❤️

  • $1.69 MILLION TO HELP KIDS FIGHT CANCER 🔥
    10 Sep 2026

    WOW—WHAT A MATCH DAY! ❤️🚴‍♀️

What a day!! First and foremost, a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who donated, shared, encouraged and helped make Match Day such an incredible success for these kids! ❤️

Across the Great Cycle Challenge, an unbelievable $1,690,456 was raised in ONE DAY to fight childhood cancer! The response was so incredible that we blew right through the entire $1.4 million matching pool. Because donations exceeded the available match, Match Day donations received an 82% match.

$1.69 MILLION in 24 hours for these kids. Now THAT is something to celebrate!

And you all did a little blasting past goals over on my page, too! I started Match Day with roughly $88 raised, and by the end of the day, with your donations and the matching funds added, my page had grown to approximately $2,535!

You didn’t just help me reach the fundraising goal I set for this year’s ride—you helped me BLAST right past it! 🚴‍♀️🔥 I can’t thank you enough.

I always try to ride BIG for the kids on Match Day, and yesterday I pedaled out 38 indoor miles. I had hoped to pedal out a few more, but after so many miles sitting on that indoor cycle, my backside and I agreed we were DONE. 😊

There is a reason I try to push a little harder on this particular day…

When the miles get long and my legs get tired, I remind myself that whatever I’m pushing through on that bike doesn’t begin to compare with what these kids are asked to push through in their fight against cancer.

    I get to stop.

I get to climb off the bike.

They don’t get to simply climb off their ride and be finished.

    So I ride. ❤️

Those miles brought me to just over 100 miles so far for September, and there are plenty more to come! I’m working toward my 300-mile goal this month—and hopefully I’ll pedal right past that one too. 🚴‍♀️

But the biggest number from yesterday isn’t my mileage or even the amount on my fundraising page.

    It’s $1,690,456.

That’s what thousands of riders, donors, families, friends and supporters accomplished together in ONE DAY for kids fighting cancer.

    For the kids fighting today.

For those who have beaten it.

For the beautiful little lives we’ve lost.

And for the families and friends standing beside them every step of the way.

Cancer has touched so many of our lives, and having faced it myself only deepens what this ride means to me. These miles are for the kids—for the children fighting today, the survivors, the precious little lives lost far too soon, and all the friends and families whose lives have been touched by cancer.

Yesterday, all of YOU rallied around them.

And that is what this ride is all about.

Thank you for donating. Thank you for cheering. Thank you for helping me blast past my goal. And most importantly, thank you for showing up for these kids.

    Now…back to those other 200 miles! 🚴‍♀️

    Tomorrow. 😊

  • MATCH DAY! ❤️
    9 Sep 2026

The first week is down, and TODAY IS MATCH DAY! ❤️

So far, indoor cycling has been the name of the game this September. I missed a couple of days over the weekend to spend time with family, and with darker, colder mornings and daylight disappearing earlier in the evening, outdoor rides are a little harder to fit in. But miles are miles—we fit them in when and where we can! 🚴‍♀️

Today, Wednesday, September 9, is the most important fundraising day of my challenge. An anonymous donor will be matching donations up to a designated amount, so donations made today have the opportunity to go twice as far for childhood cancer research.

I’m hoping to get a good long ride in today. There’s something about those longer miles that gives me time to think about why I’ve continued doing this for eight years—the kids fighting this awful disease and the families standing beside them.

Cancer doesn’t just affect one person. It takes a family, friends, neighbors and an entire community of people supporting and cheering someone through it. And when that person is a child who should be playing, growing and simply enjoying being a kid, it hits especially hard.

So today, I’ll ride for them. ❤️

And if you’ve thought about supporting my ride this year, today is the day to do it. Your donation can go twice as far.

Here’s to more miles, more research, better treatments and, hopefully one day, a cure. 🚴‍♀️❤️

  • Miles Are Miles! 🚴‍♀️❤️
    4 Sep 2026

September riding can be a little tricky with changing weather and shorter daylight hours! 🚴‍♀️ I’ll likely be logging most of my miles indoors on my cycle, but I’m hoping to get outside whenever time, weather and daylight allow. Indoor or outdoor, every mile counts toward my 8th year riding to fight kids’ cancer! ❤️

The love of cycling started many decades ago and cancer snuck in decades later.
