• Ride #7 done, 68 miles done... 32 miles to go!
    23 Sep 2026

Getting close on my mileage goal... still a challenge since I am still not able to ride my road bike. However, miles on a spin cycle count!

We have raised more more than $2000 at this hour. The next 21 hours are important because there is a matching grant available till midnight Wednesday night! So any donations to my campaign will be more impactful to help beat childhood cancer. Too many young people are fighting this disease in hospitals instead of riding their bikes in the sunshine. Tragically too many of young ones lose their battle and gain their wings too soon. This is why thousands of bike riders pedal in September to help fund the to find the cures. I think of these kids and their families and that inspires me to pedal more . It gives me the courage to ask you for your support. Will you think of these brave kids and help them?

I just raised my fund goal to $2,500. We are about $350 from reaching that goal... perhaps we can go higher?!?!? We have 1 week left in the campaign and I hope you can help me reach that new goal!

Thanks to those who have donated this year and in past years. For 6 years I have been joined by great supporters, many have donated each year and I want to shout THANK YOU! For those who are considering a donation, I thank you in advance.

  • My 3rd ride for Children's Cancer Research
    7 Sep 2026

8 miles recorded on the spin cycle avg 18kmh. A bit faster than first 2 rides. Riding a spin bike for me is not real comfortable. But with left wrist & arm in splint past the elbow, it is hard to maintain a rhythm. This large cast comes tomorrow (I hope!) Replaced by a smaller brace.

Why am I doing this? Because am raising donations for Children's Cancer Research! I met a mom this week who lost her daughter to this disease... it broke my heart but also hope because this child's mom keeps a bright light on in her heart and a hope for other children.

Please help bring hope for cures to these precious young people and their mom & dads!

    Please Donate online this week.

By the way, donate on Wednesday of this week (September 7th)and your donation will be matched by a generous benefactor. Up to $1.4 million will matched by all online donations on this Kick Cancers Butt Day! Please help!

Below is my picture on Times Square (with a bunch of other cycle warriors!) from last week.

  • Second ride
    6 Sep 2026

I am still in a left arm cast after. Surgery 5 weeks ago. So I can't ride my road bike (hard to shift and balance with one arm). So this September is on a spin cycle. Donations are starting to come in which makes riding indoors more bearable. 20 miles done... 80 to go.
