Iris Kruger - Successful journey

THIS IS WHY I RIDE - TODAY Iris’s medical journey continues to be one of success and positivity. In the past eight months, both her NG-tube and port were removed. She isn’t required to take chemotherapy medications as her cancer hasn’t come back. Iris also graduated from kindergarten and is very excited to start 1st grade. In her free time, Iris likes to create mixed media art, go on roadtrips, and play with her little brother. 3 YEARS AGO Iris Kruger - a Special friend's Granddaugher On July 29th, 2022, Iris was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia is a cancer that affects your "B lymphocytes" -- white blood cells that grow in the soft center of your bones, called marrow. B lymphocytes are supposed to grow into cells that help you fight infections. Iris has undergone many life-saving procedures, and through it all she has remained optimistic and happy. She is currently in the 4th stage of her treatment, which is called “Remission”. Her treatment ends in November 2024, which she will then ring the bell and declare herself cancer-free.
