I'm Riding For
Mom and brother Mike
This past year I lost my youngest brother Mike to this terrible disease. I am riding this year in honor of him, and also my mom who I lost to this disease over 36 years ago.
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
I am riding in memory of my mom who fought this terrible disease and lost her battle over 30 years ago, and in memory of my brother Mike who lost his battle with this disease last year, and he was just 59 years old.
Right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from this disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So, I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
