My nephew Joshua was 4 years old when he was diagnosed with Leukemia. He fought for almost 1 year but eventually lost his battle. He would have been 11 years old today.

Now, as a father of my own 5-year-old boy, it is sobering to recall all the pain and devastation Josh and family went through and he never made it to my own son’s age! It is still so apparent that kids should be LIVING life, not fighting for it! So this September, I am cycling to raise money for Children's Cancer Research.

This is my seventh year participating in this event, and it is honestly one of the most fulfilling things I have ever done! Not only does it help kids currently fighting this wretched disease, but it also keeps Josh's memory alive and is a way I can always remember and honor him.
